Started for a polycount environment challenge, based on the sweet concept by Bong bong https://www.artstation.com/artwork/Nx2d01
I'm still working on this project, whenever I find some time. Used fire and flame candle particle systems from the marketplace.
Some aspects I touched on so far:
- Organize materials in material functions for easier maintenance
- Blueprint for placing chunks of candles, snapped to surface underneath
- Combination of baked and dynamic lighting
- models textured with trim sheets, detailed with modular assets (wip)
- Created trim sheets with photoshop and quixel mixer
- Overgrowth using spline meshes in blender (wip)
